Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, I’m heading to Georgia early Thursday morning with some family for the weekend. I’ll be back on to posting on Monday… with a few book reviews, I imagine. (And hopefully, another addition to the gallery.) I’ve been lax with drawing lately. Apologies to Colleen! I’m hoping I remember to print off all my reference material so I can do some sketching this weekend. And even if I don’t, I’m taking Monday off just to recoup. I’ll have no excuse then. Also, hoping to see Casino Royale again this weekend! (Dad hasn’t seen it yet… that’s my excuse.)
On another note, I can’t decide if I want to see The Fountain which releases today. It’s gotten http://scifichick.com/forums/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=360" target="_blank">booed in Venice and http://scifichick.com/forums/modules.php?name=News&file=comments&sid=360&tid=838&mode=&order=&thold=" target="_blank">hissed in Canada. People have gotten up and walked out. I’m not sure what’s so bad about it, but I’m going to wait to see what friends say about it.

My goodness! I’m very curious about what would cause this reaction. There are so many movies that deserve this treatment, but don’t receive it.

Loved Casino Royale…did a review on it this morning. I’m hoping to see it again this weekend as well and its been awhile since I’ve seen a movie that I wanted to turn right around and see again.

I’ve only really seen one preview for The Fountain. I’m not sure if I want to see it. I think it looked weird, but I may be confusing it with another. I can’t check since I’m posting from a mobil device. One movie I think I may want to see is Pan’s Labarynth. Also looks weird but interesting too.

I’m curious about The Fountain as well. I’m hoping it was a pacing issue, and not a story problem.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too! I wish that I could go to Georgia. I love Georgia. Great place, nice people and plus it’s a great time of year to go. Makes me miss the east coast.
I want to see the fountain. not sure that I’ll get around to it but I still want to see it.

I’ve been wanting to see The Fountain, but just saw a clip on David Letterman last night. I could have easily fallen asleep if it continued to be that dizzying (not cut well at all, IMHO – it was hard to watch) and I almost never go to the theater, so I’ll wait for the DVD, now. I have to wonder about the booing and hissing, though. It sounded so good!

I don’t care how bad The Fountain is, I’m seeing it this weekend. Hugh Jackman. Period costumes. I’m in.
