when does the novelization come out angela? i thought it didn’t come out until the day the movie is released.. i did the same thing with generations..i read the book the day the movie came out and finished the damn thing in a few hours and knew how the movie turned out. never did that again lol.
According to the publisher’s website and Amazon, May 12, 2009.. So, after the movie release.
Yeah, I doubt I’d read it, even if it came out early. It’s by Alan Dean Foster, so I’m excited about that though.
No problem. As for Motor City.. this may be the first year that I don’t go, unless they get some better guests signed up! There isn’t anyone listed that I’d care to go up for. It’s pretty disappointing!
I always read the novelizations when they hit before the movie. I remember being so mad at Star Trek 3 when they didn’t have the Spock/Savik scene on the Genesis planet.
Also for those that don’t know…there is a prequel to the new STar Trek Movie in comic book form called Star Trek: Countdown. Written by the movie writers this links the Next Gen era to new movie crew…it’s terrific. 1st issue is out of print and already hitting $25. Wait for the trade as it will be out in time for the movie….
I’m not a Trekkie but this trailer makes me really want to see this movie. And as for the Motor City Comic Con, I’ve only one been to that one last year but I checked out the website and some of the guests look exciting to me. Especially John Schneider, Kristy Swanson and Taimak.

I can’t wait either.

The major dilemma: Do I want to read the novelization first? I don’t think I want any more spoilers.

Carrie Fisher just signed on Angela….and about the countdown comics…i have the first 2 comics, and the 3rd on order. i am very impressed with it.

Just an FYI about the Countdown Comics…issue 3 and 4 are already sold out at the distributor level as retailers have upped the orders by a lot.
So don’t wait to pick up issue 3 and 4 is my advice.
