Fantasy Book Review: Janitors: Secrets of New Forest Academy

Janitors: Secrets of New Forest Academy by Tyler Whitesides

Synopsis:
Now, more than ever, Spencer, Daisy, and even Dez must fight to save schools everywhere. The Bureau of Educational Maintenance (BEM) is after Spencer, and the only place he is safe is within the walls of the New Forest Academy. Or so he thinks. In this fast-paced adventure, the kids must figure out where their loyalties lie and who they can trust as they fight to discover the true secret of the New Forest Academy and what it means to the future of education.

Review:
Spencer and Daisy are sent off to a remote private school while the BEM has staked out Spencer’s home and school hoping to get their hands on him. But once they arrive at New Forest Academy (along with their ever-present bully Dez), their rebel janitor contact is nowhere to be found. And Spencer is still in danger. Meanwhile, he has been having strange visions that come at seemingly random times.

This exciting sequel is packed full of adventure, mystery, suspense, grotesque creatures, and plenty of humor. This installment is even better than the first – well-paced with interesting characters, an interesting plot, and plenty of twists. This wacky and wild fantasy series is a lot of fun and never dull.
