Underoos Coupon and Giveaway! (Now For Adults Too)

dc-comics-wonderwoman-package

When I was approached to review and offer up a giveaway of Underoos, I couldn’t resist. As a child in the 80s, I had a pair of Wonder Woman and Batgirl Underoos that I wore all the time under my clothes. What else could make a kid feel more like a superhero?! And now, they offer Underoos for adults as well!

star-wars-r2d2-galaxyLadies, the website calls Women’s sizes “Juniors.” But fear not. They are actually Women’s sizes. I asked for a larger size, assuming Juniors meant smaller teen sizes. But they are huge, and I probably wont be able to wear them unless I can shrink them. So, pay attention to the size chart as the sizes are pretty close to regular Women’s sizes.

Right now, you can grab a pair for $5 off any order using code SCIFICHICK! Offer expires August 31, 2015.

Box Review: Geek Fuel – July 2015

GeekFuel July 2015

After enjoying Marvel’s Collector Corps boxes so much, I decided to join a few other geek-centered mystery boxes. Geek Fuel is a monthly subscription box “filled with t-shirts, toys, digital games, limited edition collectibles, and all things epic.” The box can be purchased on a monthly renewal at $23.90 per month, or discounts for purchasing several months or more upfront. And right now, there’s a $3 off coupon for any plan.

GeekFuel July 2015

The box comes with a monthly, mini magazine that’s really well done.

GeekFuel July 2015
Le Tour de Geek T-Shirt – (Retail $10)

The t-shirt this month is a mash-up, that I’ll probably give to my niece as I’m not a gamer – and not a fan of Zelda. But I DO LOVE that Geek Fuel offers women’s sizes in shirts. Be sure to order your regular size. I ordered 2 sizes larger (and XL), thinking that it may be fitted like a Junior’s size. But it’s not. I’ll be sticking to Mediums in the future. It’s also nice that you can adjust your shirt size for any future shipments.

GeekFuel July 2015

Also included in this month’s box:
-Marvel Civil War #1 Variant Edition (Retail $4.99+) – I was excited to get start this new run!
-Aliens vs. Vampirella Poster (Retail? – selling on Ebay for $8-20) – Not thrilled about this, but will try to find someone who wants it, or a local comic shop.
-Burnstar Downloadable Game (Retail $10) – It’s a PC-only game, so unfortunately worthless to me. I’ll pass along to family.
-Ant-Man Mini-Pint Shot Glass (Retail? – selling on Ebay for $10) – I LOVE Ant-Man, so I enjoyed getting another collectable.
-Firefly Shiny! Button (Retail $1?) – All things Firefly rule.

When I subscribed, just a few days ago, I was hoping to skip this month. Seeing as how it was the end of July, I thought I’d get in with August. Unfortunately, the value didn’t add up for things I’ll actually keep. I’ll stick with it for a while though. Other past boxes looked great.

What do you think of July’s Geek Fuel Box?

Box Review: Marvel Collector Corps July 2015 Box – Ant-Man

IMG_9308

This is only the 2nd box that Collector Corps has done, and I’m pretty sure I’m a subscriber for life… or at least as long as they continue these boxes. The last box was fantastic too. The Marvel Collector Corps offers these boxes starting at $25 plus s/h. Marvel fans, these are a must.

Each box comes with a t-shirt. You pick your shirt size when subscribing. This box was Ant-Man themed, so I was happy to have a Ant-Man shirt before the movie even released. The shirt has the Ant-Man logo large across the chest with a tiny figure and the words below “(Actual size).” It’s a black t-shirt, which I’m not really fond of getting. But it makes the logo pop. (Retail $10?)

This month’s comic is Ant-Man #4 Variant edition. (Retail $3.99, though it’s a variant.)

The best part of each box is the Funko Pop Marvel figure. And this exclusive figure includes a Scott (sans helmet) and a mini bobble head (that really bobbles!). (Retail $39.99)

There were two Funko Marvel Ant-Man Mystery Minis, mine were Scott (sans helmet) and Yellow Jacket. (Last month only had one mini fig and it wasn’t nearly as cute and detailed.) (Retail $8.99 each)

And rounding out the box, and attached to it, are a collectible patch and pin – both featuring a retro Ant-Man head with the Collector Corp logo. (Retail $9.99 for both)

I even love the boxes these ship in. They are collectors items themselves, each unique to the theme that ships each time.

Next month’s box theme is Secret Wars.
Do you subscribe? If so, what do you think of this month’s box?
