Just received info on the upcoming release of Heroes Season 1 DVD set:
I thought you might be interested in a quick update on the Heroes Season 1 DVD set, that’ll be released on August 28. Here are the highlights of what’s on the discs (Aside, of course, from 23 episodes of Heroes):
-Unaired Pilot: The Tim Kring Cut with Audio Commentary – A full 73 uninterrupted minutes of the original, unaired, extended pilot episode, as Heroes’ creator Tim Kring first envisioned it, with a character never seen.
-The Making of Heroes – From concept to pop culture phenomenon, a behind-the-scenes look at the hottest new series on television.
In Monday night’s episode, Kyle has embraced his gifts and finally sets about using them to help people. Namely his love interest, Amanda. This is his first real “case.” And he not only helps out the victim by sacrificing something valuable to him, but he actually helps out a thief as well. Kyle is truly every bit the boy scout that Clark Kent is. I just hope they don’t go the same route with the relationship with Amanda as they do with Lana in Smallville. The “will they, won’t they” thing gets old really fast. Especially, when in Smallville, you know they don’t end up together.
After painfully watching Painkiller Jane, I don’t have high hopes for this newest SciFi Channel show. And I think it’s pretty gutsy to order 22 episodes right away.
“The show will take Ming ‘into more of a kind of Saddam Hussein, dictator type of character and play with some of those themes of control over the masses and propaganda’…”
That right there is the biggest turn-off.
I have a confession to make. And it’s pretty embarrassing to admit.
I have recently become obsessed with Kyle XY, from ABC Family channel. The supporting cast are definitely not the best actors. The story has been very predictable so far. The morals of the the Trager family are less than appropriate for a family channel. And they always have a tug-at-your-heart-strings ending to every episode.
