I feel like I’m doing a commercial, but Lucy from BooksPrice.com contacted me. And it really is a cool site. For people like me who buy way too many books, it’s a great resource for finding the best prices on titles of books, movies, music, and games! They do the price comparison search for you, and let you know the cheapest places to find your title, complete with shipping charges.
Here are 13 of my favorite quotes from the classic movie, Ghostbusters.
1. Dr. Peter Venkman: He slimed me.
2. Janine Melnitz: Do you believe in UFOs, astral projections, mental telepathy, ESP, clairvoyance, spirit photography, telekinetic movement, full trance mediums, the Loch Ness monster and the theory of Atlantis?
Okay, so these photos are really bad too. I had to take them without flash, while in line to get autographs. But it was great to meet James Marsters too. He was very gracious and sweet with everyone he met.
And below is my photo with Walter Koenig and George Takei! If you’re wondering, Walter had just said something funny… making me laugh as the guy took the picture. They were both great, and George was full of smiles for everyone.
Storm Force, by Meredith Fletcher, is a perfect vacation read. The author was kind enough to send me a copy, and I finished it over the course of just a few hours.
Kate Garrett is a wilderness guide in Florida. But an impending, disastrous hurricane is the least of her worries. Her ex-husband has sent their children to stay with her for a while, but someone seems to be following them. Escaped convicts capture Kate and use her to guide them to a hidden stash of money. One of the men claims to be an undercover FBI agent. But can she trust him? Especially, when her children’s safety is at risk?
With colorful imagery and a strong heroine, Storm Force is a fun, fast-paced action/adventure story with heart. And a touch of romance. I’ll definitely be looking forward to getting my hands on more books by Meredith Fletcher.
I can’t believe that tomorrow will be my last full day of vacation here in sunny California. Time has flown by. I’ve been much busier than I thought I’d be. I’ve only read 3 and a half books. And 2 of those were on the flight out here.
Finally, I’ve gotten my laptop plugged into the internet!
I’m having a great time.. keeping busy..
I still need to scan a couple photos in, but here are a couple from my digital camera. They’re from Universal City Walk.
I’ll post photos from the con soon!
Hope you all are having a great week too…
George’s acting career has spanned five decades. It began in the summer of 1957, between his freshman and sophomore years at the University of California at Berkeley, when George answered a newspaper advertisement placed by a company casting voices for a motion picture. The film was Rodan, a Japanese science-fiction classic about a prehistoric creature terrorizing Tokyo. In a sound stage on the MGM lot in Culver City, Calif., George dubbed the original Japanese lines into English, creating distinct voices for eight characters.
