Heroes News

I received the following email from an NBC promoter:

Hello Angela,

Only 19 days til Heroes’ new episodes start airing, and the suspense of all the cliffhangers set up in “Parasites” finally ends. Until then, I wanted to point you and your readers towards the first part of a preview of Episode 19, hosted at NBC’s Heroes MySpace page:

5 Obsessions

Christine tagged me to reveal five things I obsess over:

1. Books – I’m a reading fiend, but I also have to buy almost every book I read. Since I enjoy more than 90% of them, I usually don’t mind this obession. And I rarely ever buy at cover price. Amazon, Bookcloseouts, Borders, Half-Price Books, SFBC, Zooba… I do my part to keep them all in business.

2. Favorite TV Shows – Like Christine, I could have put Stargate (SG-1 and Atlantis) down. I’ve seen every episode of both series. And have all but the latest seasons on DVD. But I’m like this with several other shows… Quantum Leap, Remington Steele, Dead Zone, The 4400, etc. Even if I’ve seen every episode, I have to buy the DVD sets too. More than likely, I’ll rewatch them, but I definitely spend more than I should.

Book Tour

From 28 March to 11 April, M. D. Benoit will be going on a virtual book tour to promote her upcoming alternate reality novel, Synergy. During that period, ten people will host her on their blog for one day. There will be discussions on the book, Synergy, its themes, characters, interviews with the author, reviews of the book, etc.

Every day, on her own blog, Life’s Weirder than Fiction (http://mdbenoit.com/blog), she will announce where she will be that day, as well as talk a bit about her host.

Synergy’s Virtual Book Tour will culminate with a Virtual Book Launch, on 14-15 April (http://mdbenoit.com/synergy). M. D. can be contacted at mdbenoit (at) gmail (dot) com.

Be sure to check back here on April 9th for an interview with Benoit!

Vamps and the City

Vamps and the City, by Kerrelyn Sparks, is the sequel to How To Marry a Millionaire Vampire. Both are wonderfully funny with an original take on vampire lore.

Vamps and the City begins with CIA agent, Austin Erickson on a cleverly-punned “Stake-Out” of the DVN (Digital Vampire Network) Studio. His job is to locate and destroy vampires. Easy enough, until he meets Darcy Newhart. He’s not sure if she’s a vampire or just a victim, working for them. But when he finds himself falling for her, he may have to choose between his job and the girl.
