Blu-Ray Giveaway: Robocop Trilogy

Courtesy of Fox Publicity, I have giveaway copies of The Robocop Trilogy on Blu-Ray for two (2)lucky winners!

The cyborg super-cop Robocop defends citizens of Old Detroit with three times as much action when the ROBOCOP TRILOGY arrives as a Blu-ray collector’s set October 5. Just in time for the holiday season, this three disc set from MGM Home Entertainment contains the original ROBOCOP on Blu-ray, as well as ROBOCOP 2 and ROBOCOP 3 on Blu-ray for the first time.

Packed full of memorable moments and Robocop quotes, the ROBOCOP TRILOGY is a fan must-have. Viewers can experience their favorite “human” robot in all three classic films, now on Blu-ray. Directors Paul Verhoeven (Totall Recall, Basic Instinct) of ROBOCOP, Irvin Kershner of ROBOCOP 2 and Fred Dekker (Monster Squad Forever, Nighs of the Creeps) of ROBOCOP 3 bring the half robot, half police officer to life with the help of an intensely talented cast, including Peter Weller (The Order; 24), Robert Burke (Good Night, and Good Luck; Tombstone), Kurtwood Smith (Rambo III; That 70’s Show) and Nancy Allen (Law and Order, Carrie).

Synopsis:
In ROBOCOP (1987), a terminally wounded cop in crime-ridden Detroit returns to the force as a powerful cyborg with submerged memories haunting him. ROBOCOP 2 (1990) features a corrupt businesswoman seeking to disable Robocop in favor of her own model of cyborg. In ROBOCOP 3 (1993) Robocop saves the day once more. This time the half man/half robot takes on ruthless developers who want to evict some people on “their” land.

The ROBOCOP TRILOGY collector’s edition on Blu-ray will be available for the suggested retail price of $59.99 US/$69.99 Canada.

Contest is open to US residents only. To enter, just fill out the form below. Contest ends October 29. I’ll draw names on October 30, and notify winners via email.

Good luck!

Book Review: The Invisible Order

The Invisible Order

The Invisible Order: Book One, by Paul Crilley

Emily Snow is only 12 years old, but yet supports her younger brother after the disappearances of both her parents. But Emily is forced to take on an even bigger responsibility when she stumbles upon a battle between races that she thought belonged only in fairy tales. After rescuing a small piskie, she unwittingly finds herself in the middle of an ages-long war between the fairy clans of the Seelie and Unseelie. But there is a group of humans, the Invisible Order, who fight against all of the fey and their claim to this world. And Emily isn’t sure who she should trust.

Emily is a brave, straight-forward girl who is repeatedly forced to endure unfortunate situations. Amidst a trail of lies a deceit, she tries to do the right thing and struggles to keep her brother safe. Crilley’s world, full of wonder and magic, is set in Victorian London.

Written for middle readers, the mood never seems too dark or scary, but there are a couple of murderous and cannibalistic characters that create some gruesome imagery. Loaded with suspense and mystery, this series debut was impossible to put down. With plot twists and surprises around every corner, I was completely absorbed until the climactic end. Don’t miss this exciting new fantasy series.
