Synopsis:
Two years after London is struck by a devastating terrorist attack, it is cut off from the world, protected by a military force known as Choppers. The rest of Britain believes that the city is now a toxic, uninhabited wasteland. But Jack and his friends—some of whom lost family on what has become known as Doomsday—know that the reality is very different. Review:
Jack and his friends are a self-made family of young adults. When Jack and his sister decide to track down their mother in the dangerous and forbidden London, his friends don’t think twice about going along – even the one girl who still has family safe on the outside. Lebbon’s post-apocalyptic London is a foreign, wild place – with feral animals, mutant humans with little control, and a malevolent crew with orders to capture and experiment on the mutants.
Fast-paced and full of adventure and mystery, fans of dystopian scifi will certainly want to check out this new series. The setting is creepy and dangerous and the characters are engaging. I really enjoyed this dark and intense start to a promising new series.
