Box Review: Bam Box – July 2016

Bam Box

The Bam Box was founded in 2015 by Bloof, the same team of geeks, comic book lovers and pop culture collectors that started ComiconAuction.com. We love collecting. We love the thrill of it, the mystery of it and especially that feeling you get when you have a collectible in your hands that you are really excited about. So we set out to bring something different to everyone.

There are some great subscription boxes on the market, but we felt there was still something missing. We went to the drawing board with the goal of creating the box we would want to show up on our doorstep. After a lot of ideas and prototypes we arrived at the Bam Box. From the design of the box to the items inside to the instant winners we send out, we accomplished what we wanted to do: give you the subscription box we would be jealous of.”

Cost: 1 month plan starts at $24.99 plus $7.99 s/h

*SciFiChick.com received a box for review purposes.

There is a handy sheet included with a description of all of the items in the box and any possible 1-Ups!

Bam Box

This month’s theme was GALACTIC!

BAM! Pin – I received a cute Rocket pin from Guardians of the Galaxy. There were possible black and gold variants of this, but I actually like the common version I received best.

Bam Box

EXCLUSIVE Boba Fett Steel Silhouette Figure – This exclusive size is perfect as a book end, which is what I’ll be using it for! There was also a possible Yoda or a 1-Up Darth Vader. These are very well-made and sturdy

Bam Box

Mars Space Sand (Retail $5-8 on various sites) – This is a fun item that will be great to share with kids.

EXCLUSIVE Alien Resurrection Wardrobe Card – I’m not a big fan of the movie, so this was pretty much the only item I wont be keeping. It’s kind of a cool, unique collectible if you are a big fan of the movie.

Bam Box

Star Trek: The Next Generation Rank and Pin Set (Retail $20+ on ebay) – I’m a HUGE Next Gen fan, so I loved getting this collectible set. They do seem quite a bit larger than actually used on the show – but I’d probably only keep them on display rather than ever wear them anyway.

Bam Box

Thanos Print by Logan Pack – This is a fantastic print. I’m very glad I received this Thanos option – it’s my favorite of all the possibilities, even compared to the 1-Up versions.

Did anyone receive a Gold Star Instant Winner with a signed comic?

Summary: This was yet another solid, unique box of goodies from this new mystery box subscription. I’m not usually one for prints, but Bam Box’s has been constantly top notch. And the 1-Up possibilities are such a fantastic idea and always fun to receive.
