Description from the site:
Audio Length: 9 hours and 50 min.

Retrieval artists help the lost find their way back home, whether they like it or not. Specialized private detectives, they investigate the most unusual crimes in the galaxy. But Miles Flint isn’t a Retrieval artist. He’s just a cop, trying to do his job.

In a stolen space yacht, three people have been found eviscerated – the grisly signature of an alien vengeance killing. Moments later, the border patrol halts another ship launched out of the Moon’s orbit. Its passengers are two human children, kidnapped by the most ruthless aliens in the universe.

Both ships are linked to a woman on the run: a Disappeared relocated to the inhospitable landscape of Mars. A reluctant outlaw with a bounty on her head and a detective on her case, she’s about to teach all of them a lesson: it’s dangerous to gamble with your life in a universe that rigs the game.

Lucky Me

A little while back, I made the top ten list of “fan sites” for the upcoming Hellboy II: The Golden Army movie. One of the freebies I received was Hellboy II: the Art of the Movie. Containing the final shooting script, which I will not be reading until I see the movie (I don’t want any spoilers) and plenty of fantastic photos of screenshots and artwork, from beginning–to-end stages, this visual companion is a stunning collection from one of my most highly anticipation movies of the summer!

James Maxey Giveaway

Over at, James Maxey will be giving away a signed copy of his newest novel through drawings every Wednesday in June. And, if people send in a dragon-themed poem or drawing, and their name is selected, they’ll win a complete Dragon Age collection: Signed copies of Bitterwood, Dragonforge, and the Solaris Book of New Fantasy!

Also, Maxey gave a shout out in the acknowledgements in Dragonforge, as well as fellow reviewer Fantasy Book Critic! How cool is that!
