I read the German edition of Dune more than 30 years ago. But I still remember the giant sandworms of Arrakis, the Fremen. The Bene Gesserit, the Spacing Guild, the Navigators and Paul Atreides who later on used his Fremen name Muad’Dib. I have been impressed. Must be cool to read it again after so many years…
As a single parent 30 years ago my life was often a straight out hassle from day to day but I found the Dune and whenever I had a little time I would dive into it and lost myself on Arrakis with Paul Atreides and sometimes I think it saved my sanity.
