This Original Series novel is a mystery with layers. The Enterprise crew must investigate what happened at the science outpost. In doing so, they track down the missing scientists as well as a mysterious race in the form of legendary characters from Earth’s past. The heart of the story is wrapped around this people group and why they have arrived.
Savage Trade is a fast-paced, fun read. An alien race from the Enterprise’s past makes a return. And their history brings the crew (as well as the Federation) mixed feelings as well as trepidation. This original story is engaging and entertaining – full of drama, intrigue, and a bit of romance. I enjoyed this latest installment from beginning to its climactic ending.
