  1. Angela – Richard Dean Anderson went to High School here in the Twin Cities. One of my tech guys went to school with him and used to particpate in theatre productions together. Crazy, eh?

  2. I have an uncle who looks exactly like him and when we would watch Macyver we would swear to ourselves that it was him starring in it!!
hey sci-fi girl i am a total fantasy sci-fi lover myself. Considering I spent my first year of post university reading ONLY that I am trying to make sure I spread out a little more. I just read the anansi boys by Gaimon and loved it~!! (review on my blog if you really feel like indulging) Have you read it??

Oh and do you plan on doing the TBR Challenge???

  3. Angela,

    Welcome back!

Funny, I always thought Richard Dean Anderson looked like my brother-in-law, till my brother-in-law lost his hair! Your sketches are so good. I used to pencil-sketch, many moons ago – maybe kids got in the way. I’m not even sure when I quit, although my artist grandmother used to get a lot of photos of whatever I was up to and she died in 1989 (she taught art in the 1920’s). Did you major in art or take art classes or are you just a natural? I’m curious. 🙂

  4. Thanks Carl, hope you had a great one too!

Angie – That is so cool! I absolutely love RDA.

Nessie – That is funny! Older photos of my grandfather look like Gregory Peck.. very dashing!
I haven’t read Anasi Boys yet.. I’ll have to check out your review.
I don’t plan on doing the TBR Challenge.. I’m reading picks from my TBR pile anyway. I’m looking forward to Carl’s December Challenge tho.

  5. Nancy – Thanks! Atlanta was fun, but the trip was too short.
Yes, my degree is in Art. I studied Illustration and Graphic Design. Tho I started drawing portraits in 6th grade, and was pretty much self-taught… since I went to a small Christian school and all we had was one Fine Arts class.
Well, you should get back into it.. if you ever find some spare time, that is!

  6. Wow, I love the sketch! He still looks great. 🙂 I took art class a long time ago, but then I switched gears and got into theatre…then writing. I have creative ADD. 🙂

Welcome back and I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. 🙂

  7. Thanks, Christine! Yeah, I do think he gets better looking with age.
LOL creative ADD.. I like that. I studied music and art in college. But I settled on art, figuring I could find a job easier.. more stable. I ended up HATING graphics design as a job.
