Review:
Aurora is woken from her cursed sleep after 100 years. Everyone she knows and loves is long dead. And the man who kissed her awake is a complete stranger, who she’s being forced to marry. Aurora is a relatable young woman who longs for freedom and adventure, but feels that it’s her duty to help keep peace in her land. There are actually three young men begin to form relationships (or try) with Aurora, instead of the usual love triangle. Thankfully, there is no insta-love here. The relationships form naturally and believably.
A Wicked Thing is first in a new fantasy series that gives a new twist on the “Happily Ever After” of the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. This first installment introduces some interesting characters and builds a captivating story of intrigue, suspense, drama, and a bit of magic. Events builds to an exciting climax and an ending that will leave readers eager for the next in this promising series.
