About Me

Life-long SciFi fan, book hoarder, and avid reader of all genres.

I loved Star Wars as a child, but fell in love with science fiction when Star Trek: The Next Generation aired. So, yes, I was a geek in high school. Though, considering I run my own website for all things scifi, pretty sure it makes me more of a geek now. I have a full-time, desk job for an investment company. I have a bachelor’s degree in art/graphics design that I rarely use. I like dogs, but love Shar Peis. And I’m a proud owner of a rescued Sharp Eagle (Shar Pei/Beagle mix) named Lois Lane, who is a great therapy dog. We volunteer at a local nursing home, animal rescue group/reading program, and church. I love movies with happy endings. I’m addicted to too many TV shows – I can never catch up on my DVR. And I read every chance I get.

Please note: I no longer review self-published or vanity press titles and rarely read ebooks.

  1. Hey! Doubt you remember me but I went to IWU with you. Josh Buck’s cousin. Just saw your book review in the front page of “changes” by Jim Butcher! So crazy to see it in there! Congrats!

  2. Hi Eric – Sure, I remember you! Thanks! It is crazy to see my quotes in books. I get excited each time I spot one.. especially on favorite authors’ books!

  3. I read your bio and you sound like a younger version of me, but back in the 50s & 60s, I was a geek without a title. So much easier today.
