The regular link thing below wasn’t working, so I’m trying this graphic one. Let me know if it still isn’t working. Thanks!
Patrick Stewart is cool – one of those actors that really has range. Neat thirteen list!
I swear I saw him in Merchant of Venice years ago–and it was fantastic. Not exactly fantasy but a great performance.
I love this man. I was lucky enough to see him in a play in London last year. He stripped down to his undies on stage…
And his voice was incredible. It seemed to shake the walls. I was way up in the nose bleeds and could hear him like he was next to me. Amazing actor.
Michelle – Very cool!
Amy – Wow… on both counts. LOL
It amazed me watching the recent Star Trek 40th anniversary special just how young Patrick S. still looks. He seems to have barely aged compared to many of the other stars.
The man is ageless. A brilliant actor with depth. I think my dad wishes he looked like him. Maybe of we all lived in outer space we wouldn’t age as fast too. Hmmm…
I love him in X-Men. ANd, I thought he was so good in Star Trek: Next Generation.
Gabriella – For some reason, I’m not able to leave comments on your blog. It’s taking forever to load the page.
Wow. I didn’t realize he was in all those–I’ve only seen a handful of them.
Patrick Stewart could read the phone book to me. That voice. *drool*
I love Patrick Stewart, but haven’t seen several of these. The guy is like Michael Cane, seems incapable of turning down any role he’s offered.
His TNT version of A Christmas Carol, is one of my all-time favorite movies. It’s both realistic/gritty and sometimes over the top, but I watch it several times a year.
Cool list!
Patrick Stewart and X-Men are linked in my head.
I think I saw in an interview how he’d never really seen much sci-fi stuff before he got all these parts and how he thought it was so wonderful that he got these amazing parts.
I’m such a terrible person… I read the name and did a ‘Who?’ 😉 But then I saw the pictures …. Ah! I know who you’re talking about! I’ve only seen him in 1 and 2 – the rest I haven’t watched.
Yeah, yeah… I know… I need to get with the program. Funny how much I always learn from you Super Angela! 🙂 Great TT!
I love Patrick Stewart!
And if you love him, you have to watch this!
Happy TT!
I like him best in X Men although he’s altogether a great actor. Definitely has one of those voices that lingers with you.
Dune is totally one of my favorite movies ever! 🙂
Another fantabulous list. Thank you for sharing.
That’s quite a range for me! Have you seen my post showing the ‘To Be Or Not To Be’ YouTube on Sesame Street?
Very fun TT list. I was amazed at all the ones I didn’t know.
A great actor indeed. I must admit I’ve never heard of that ‘Mysterious Island’ though; I’ll have to keep an eye out for that one.
I’ve always found it funny that Patrick looks the same in Dune as he does today. How long ago was that movie made? 🙂
But he’ll always be Captain Picard to me, French-man with a British accent, and all.
Patrick Stewart is the BEST! He is an absolutely phenomenal actor, and why TNG is my favorite!
His best work by far has got to be Robin Hood: Men in Tights! That was pure GENIUS!
I love Patrick Stewart for the simple fact that he doesn’t take himself too seriously. He knows how to have fun with his roles, and he isn’t afraid of trying something different.
I didn’t know about his voice credits in Jimmy Neutron (LOVE him) and Chicken Little…how fun!
Great list!
He is so cool!
I lurve Patrick Stewart. Sorry I’m so late responding to your TT, I was in Jury Duty. Missed reading your entries. I have a lot of catching up to do.
Patrick Stewart is Professor X!
Do you get Ricky Gervais’ Extras show in the States? In the first series, Stewart sends himself up brilliantly as ‘actor’ who’s obsessed with actresses’ clothes all falling off and he gets to see everything… This was the first time I saw him do comedy! 🙂
Amy – Well, glad you’re back now.
weenie – Annie posted a link to that comedy sketch above. Too funny. No, I don’t think we’ve gotten that show in the states, but I’ve only just started watching BBC America channel.. because of the Robin Hood show.
He’s also in Oblivion, the massive fantasy RPG I’m playing right now! Of course, that wouldn’t be a “face,” because it’s a video game, but I recognized his voice as soon as he started narrating.
