Review:
I have read and reviewed Corrie’s fantastic graphic novel Sons of Ashgard: Ill Met in Elmgard, so I was excited to check out this prose novel as well. This is a dystopian YA novel, first in a planned trilogy. The story follows Elliott, an initiate in a cult on a brutal crusade, and Sarah from
a nomadic clan. As they arrive at a mysterious city, the suspense builds to a pulse-pounding adventure. This fantasy is well-paced and captivating, set on a dark and unique world. With sympathetic characters and a thrilling storyline, the book begs to be read in one sitting. And the climactic ending leaves off in a cliffhanger that will leave readers eager for the next installment.
