After enjoying Marvel’s Collector Corps boxes so much, I decided to join a few other geek-centered mystery boxes. Geek Fuel is a monthly subscription box “filled with t-shirts, toys, digital games, limited edition collectibles, and all things epic.” The box can be purchased on a monthly renewal at $23.90 per month, or discounts for purchasing several months or more upfront. And right now, there’s a $3 off coupon for any plan.
The box comes with a monthly, mini magazine that’s really well done.
Le Tour de Geek T-Shirt – (Retail $10)
The t-shirt this month is a mash-up, that I’ll probably give to my niece as I’m not a gamer – and not a fan of Zelda. But I DO LOVE that Geek Fuel offers women’s sizes in shirts. Be sure to order your regular size. I ordered 2 sizes larger (and XL), thinking that it may be fitted like a Junior’s size. But it’s not. I’ll be sticking to Mediums in the future. It’s also nice that you can adjust your shirt size for any future shipments.
Also included in this month’s box:
-Marvel Civil War #1 Variant Edition (Retail $4.99+) – I was excited to get start this new run!
-Aliens vs. Vampirella Poster (Retail? – selling on Ebay for $8-20) – Not thrilled about this, but will try to find someone who wants it, or a local comic shop.
-Burnstar Downloadable Game (Retail $10) – It’s a PC-only game, so unfortunately worthless to me. I’ll pass along to family.
-Ant-Man Mini-Pint Shot Glass (Retail? – selling on Ebay for $10) – I LOVE Ant-Man, so I enjoyed getting another collectable.
-Firefly Shiny! Button (Retail $1?) – All things Firefly rule.
When I subscribed, just a few days ago, I was hoping to skip this month. Seeing as how it was the end of July, I thought I’d get in with August. Unfortunately, the value didn’t add up for things I’ll actually keep. I’ll stick with it for a while though. Other past boxes looked great.
What do you think of July’s Geek Fuel Box?
