Star Trek: Prodigy: Season 1 Volume 1 synopsis:
Star Trek: Prodigy follows a motley crew of young aliens who must figure out how to work together while navigating a greater galaxy, in search of a better future. These six young outcasts know nothing about the ship they have commandeered a first in the history of the Star Trek franchise but over the course of their adventures together, they will each be introduced to Starfleet and the ideals it represents.

This release is only the first half of season one, which leaves off on a cliffhanger. But the 2 parts of the season were released so far apart that it feels like 2 separate seasons. This new Star Trek animated series is marketed to kids, but all ages can enjoy. In fact, I’ve been watching it with my 2 teenage nieces, and all of us love it. The young group of alien kids who have formed the new crew of the Protostar are extremely fun and likeable. Each episode is full of humor, suspense, and intrigue. It’s clever, fresh, and nostalgic. And the exciting story arc leads to a surprising, climactic midseason finale.
