DC’s Stargirl: Complete First Season
Synopsis:
DC’s Stargirl follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) and her stepfather Pat Dugan (Luke Wilson) as she leads an unlikely group of young heroes to take on the legacy of DC’s very first Super Hero team, the Justice Society of America. In the thrilling second season, Courtney and her friends take on one of the most frightening adversaries in DC’s mythology – the dark entity of corruption known as Eclipso (Nick Tarabay).
Review:
Stargirl and the new JSA have a little quiet before Cindy appears wielding a black diamond and the power of Eclipso, while Courtney also juggles summer school. There are some introductions of some fun, new characters – as well as a special appearance of my favorite, nostalgic Flash. This season definitely takes a darker turn, as Eclipso can bring nightmares to life and make people see what he wants them to see. And some of the young JSA members deal with some heavy personal issues. But there are still some fun, lighthearted moments as well. And Eclipso himself looks more cheesy than scary. And I enjoyed this season even more than the first one. With plenty of drama, action, mystery, humor, and magic – there’s still plenty of heartwarming moments as well. This was a great season to binge.
