A trailer just came out for The Invasion, starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig:

Mmm, Daniel Craig. I’m in the I’m-glad-he’s-the-new-Bond camp. I’ve liked him for awhile (Brit flicks are my faves.)
As a huge Daniel Craig fan now, I’m willing to watch anything he’s in. Though so far, it’s only been Casino Royale, Layer Cake, and Archangel…
Well you know I’ll see it if DC is in it!
OH he’s in a Lara Croft Tomb Raider movie, I’m not sure if it’s the first or second. Whatever the Venice one is, he comes out of the shower, wet and almost nude.
Well, I’m not a big Kidman fan – I can’t forgive her for that movie where she played the reporter who killed her husband – but this one looks pretty good.

That looks like it might actually be worth a tip to the theatre. I love both Craig and Kidman.
Amy – It was the first one. I caught the ending of it on TV the other night. I need to rewatch those.
CJHill – I can’t remember that film.. Was it suspense?
Christine – And too funny that they made 2 movies together, back-to-back.
Ooooh, I am so putting this on my blog.
SQT – Yeah.. Sad that I have the site bookmarked, and kept checking it over the past couple months.. waiting for them to put a trailer up!
Hmm… I may actually see this one.
It was called “To Die For”. Here’s what IMDB says about it:
Suzanne Stone (Maretto) knows exactly what she wants. She wants to be a television newscaster and she is willing to do ANYTHING to get what she wants. What she lacks in intelligence, she makes up for in cold determination and diabolical wiles. As she pursues her goal with relentless focus, she is forced to destroy anything and anyone that may stand in her way, regardless of the ultimate cost or means necessary.
It was sorta based on a true story but I thought it was just awful – the acting, the script, the ending. If the people I’d been with had been willing to walk out, I would’ve done so. Can’t say that about many movies.
And yes, I know she’s done a lot of wonderful things since then. I may give this one a look.

I remember “To Die For.” It was based on the Pamela Smart story I think. She was probably the first school teacher who got busted for messing around with a student. And in her case it was really bad since she had the student kill her husband.
I never saw the movie though. My brother went and saw it and said it was awful. I think he may have actually walked out. I also remember the movie got all kinds of rave reviews, but anyone that actually saw it couldn’t fathom anyone else liking it. I guess it’s one of those movies only critics like.
I know which one you’re talking about now. I’ve never seen it.. looked too disturbing for my taste. I’ve only actually liked a couple of her movies.
