Baxter Moon, Galactic Scout

Baxter Moon, Galactic Scout, by John Zakour, is a funny and exciting new science fiction book for youth.

Baxter Moon is a smart and snarky 15-year-old who leads his first mission into space in search of missing diplomats. But they’re soon attacked by a race of machines who seek to paralyze with their tv-like entertainment.

The rest of Moon’s team is comprised of an extremely strong, but slow-witted girl; her very smart, but klutzy brother, and their genetically enhanced chimpanzee superior officer. Along with the humorous, evil aliens, the characters are the highlight of this book. Each is unique and adds to the fun and imaginative setting for Baxter Moon. Youngsters will enjoy this science fiction adventure with snarky computers and plenty of action. As author of the Hair Color science fiction series, Zakour definitely has a firm grasp on the lighter side of scifi.

Baxter Moon, Galactic Scout releases April 1st from Brown Barn Books.

  1. This book is pure entertainment AND laugh-out-loud funny. Aside from kids liking it, adults will too… It’s a fun story with a true teen voice.
