Weenie – I can’t say that I’ve ever even tried to read Beowulf!
Mike – Gerard Butler? I need to see that version.
I’ve wanted to see this since I first heard it was going to come out. Now that I see the cast I want to even more? Hopkins & Malkovich? And Crispin Glover as Grendel? Very nice.
I’ve wanted to see the Gerard Butler version for a while now, but haven’t been able to track it down. This one looks very cool too.
I think people should read the poem before the movie.
Wow that look cool. (and I’ve read the poem) and that looks 10 times better! Not so dry and dusty.
I’ve wanted to see this ever since I saw that Gaiman was involved; now I’m lusting after it!
Cool. Okay, I’m a geek, but I liked the poem. I’ll have to check out the movie. Thanks for the preview.
I have a copy of the Gerard version. Liked it. 🙂
I have the Gerard version, saw it at the Atlantic Film Festival and then in regular release four more times. I suppose that means I love it.
Ok, looks like I’ll have to find a copy!
They have it at Amazon. I pulled it out to watch again tonight.
Whilst the Beowulf story is an excellent one, I found it very difficult to read. The film looks promising though!
i would also recommend this version…
