Comic Meme

I saw this meme on a random blog and thought it too fitting.

Comic Book Geeks Unite:

1. Which comic company is your favorite?
Marvel. No question. X-Men, Spider-Man, and Runaways have some of the best stories. While I love a lot of the DC characters, I just can’t put the stories and villains on the same level.
2. Whose is your favorite character(s) and why?
X-Men. There is a vast assortment of mutants with various powers, so there are always new and fresh stories to tell. And some of my favorite are the most unique mutants such as Nightcrawler, who looks like a demon but actually is a strong Christian. The best example to judge someone by their appearance.
3. Do you prefer villains or heroes?
Heroes definitely. Though great villains help to make great heroes.
4. If you could be any comic book character who would you be?
Wonder Woman. I grew up idolizing her, telling people in the nursery that my name was Diana Prince. I now say that at least I reached her height!
5. Comic Books to Movies: Do you prefer it when the movie sticks to the comic story line or strays off with their own creative license?
I much prefer when the movie sticks to the comic cannon. Same with any other book made into a movie.

  1. I couldn’t do this meme because I’m not a comic person, but my husband would love it if I’d turn into Wonder Woman. If not, he’d at least be happy for me to look good in a WW outfit. 😉

Angela, which Beth Moore Bible study are you doing? I’m doing Daniel.

  2. You’re right–every good protagonist deserves a great antagonist! I haven’t seen Heroes yet…I’ll have to set a reminder for it this week.

  3. Nancy – My mother is doing the Daniel study right now and is raving about it! I’m doing Believing God.. without the video, unfortunately.. mom says that’s her favorite part. The gals & I are just working from the member book. But we talk so much, we’d be there all night if we watched an hour long video each week too!

Amy – It’s on tonight at 9 EST on NBC!

  4. I’ve enjoyed the Daniel Bible study but I think Believing God was one of my favorites. We did have the videos and they’re fabulous – her videos really help make sense of all the material. If I could have, I’d have bought a copy but they’re ridiculously overpriced. You can get audio only for about $40 and I considered getting the audio so I could go back and listen after the study ended, but I’m a visual person and decided I’d probably never listen to them.

  5. Oh you know I’m all about Diana Prince/ Wonde Woman! (Can’t wait for the WW movie that Joss Whedon aka Buffy and Angel creator, is making!)

(btw, I really like Beth Moore. Very in depth teacher. I watch her on occasion on James Robison’s program.)
