Fool Moon

Fool Moon, by Jim Butcher is the second book in The Dresden Files.

With werewolves around every corner, Harry needs to track down the killer (or killers) of numerous bloody slayings that are happening every full moon. As before, there seems to be more than one person who wants Harry dead. And when tempted with dark magic, Dresden it may be too much for him to deny.

The character development progresses further for Dresden and his friends, in this installment. The intensity and gore seem to be amped up too. And I love that the villains are just as complex as the good guys.

This one was definitely the basis for last Sunday’s Dresden Files episode. But I think I liked the episode slightly better than this story. I’m definitely looking forward to the next in both series…

Also, there is now a blog with backstories and behind-the-scenes info on Gold Eagle Books. Gold Eagle publishes my-much-raved-about Rogue Angel series, as well as other action adventure, paramilitary, and science fiction novels. It’s a very cool blog to learn more about some great series out there. Be sure to check it out!

  1. I really enjoyed this past Sunday’s episode. I thought that one was much more engaging than the previous ones. The season opener with the bird men almost lost me, but I’m glad I’m sticking with it. Paul Blackstone makes it SO worth it.

  2. I loved Sunday’s episode. I’m not normally one for werewolves, but the chemistry between Dresden and the girl (forget her name) was awesome. I’m hoping we’ll see her again.

  3. I really liked that episode. Watched it last night. It was the first time I’ve really felt that actor’s sex appeal. I always thought he was attractive, but after that? Hot.

  4. I don’t have the sci-fi channel so I haven’t had a chance to see the show, but I just started the books. I actually started backwards, reading the last three first, or I”m on the third Dead Beat. I love this series. Harry is a great character, I can’t wait to read the read of this series.
