Heroes

As a total eclipse shadows the earth, a group of seemingly ordinary people begin a journey of shocking discovery that will change their lives – and the world – forever.

NBC has found a rival to Lost.  I had been looking forward to this show since I heard about it last spring.  It was a lot like the movie Unbreakable (Bruce Willis), in that it’s about ordinary people who discover they are not so ordinary. They have been given a special power. It seems these vastly different people are all connected. And they have been given these powers for a purpose.

The characters are all very unique; I can’t wait to see how they develop.  In this first episode, the same day as a solar eclipse, Mohnder Suresh travels to New York to follow his late father’s research into what his father believes are several people who will be the next step in human evolution. There are a few surprises in the first episode that made me gasp, so I’m not mentioning any spoilers yet.

If you missed Heroes last night, be sure to catch the encore presentation tonight!
