Moonlight to Follow Vampire Diaries

image Thursday night will truly be “Vampire Night.” Beginning June 3rd, reruns of my favorite (though short-lived) vampire series, Moonlight, will be following encore episodes of The Vampire Diaries’ first season on The CW.

Alex O’Loughlin starred in Moonlight as Mick St. John, a private detective of the undead persuasion. Years ago, he saved the life of a little girl, which ultimately turned his life around. Now, Beth Turner (Sophia Myles) is all grown up, and Mick feels more than just protective of the brash internet reporter.

The complete series of Moonlight is available on DVD. But I’m excited that The CW has invested in another urban fantasy show, even if it is already cancelled. Hopefully, this will pave the way for new genre television of this quality, gathering more fans of the already popular Vampire Diaries. Until then, I have my DVD sets of Moonlight and Blood Ties to get me by.
