Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is set to premiere on Monday, Sept. 8th at 8:00 PM and FOX is planning on running a marathon leading up to the premiere.
We’ve recently added Shirley Manson, in her first acting role, and Leven Rambin (from “All My Children”) to the cast. Shirley plays “Catherine Weaver” a CEO of a tech company and Leven will take on the role of “Riley” – John Connor’s new friend and possible love interest.
T:SCC features Sarah Connor played by Lena Headey as a mother who is trying to protect her son John Connor (Thomas Dekker) from the future. She’s joined by Cameron Philips (Summer Glau), John’s cyborg protector, and Derek Reese (Brain Austin Green) a resistance fighter from the future and John’s uncle. Agent Ellison (Richard T. Jones) is an FBI agent tracking the Connors and Cromartie (Garret Dillahunt) is a dangerous cyborg hot on their trail.

This is a show that actually got better as the (short) season went along. I’m really looking forward to seeing where they take the storyline.
I have such a crush (#1 even) on Shirley Manson it’s not funny. I used to work full time on the air at x103 (local alternative radio station here in Indy), there was a meet and greet with Garbage, so I went and the promtions guy for the station as well. And 2 young girls who were big fans of Shirley’s were there as well. They told her that they used their t-shirt money to get better seats for the show…Shirley was stunned…and said “Wait right here” she went and got them two t-shirts for them and they were blown away by that. So anyway it came time for pictures with the groups and they girls didn’t have a camera, so I check with my promotions guy and we had film, so we took a picture with them and Shirley and mailed the pictures to them. The girls told Shirley what I did, and she said “Get over here and get in this picture with me.” I, of course do whatever a lady asks me to do (actually I got all bashful and nervous and got into the photo with her). I was just stunned at how nice and gracious she is.

I’m glad they’re giving SCC another chance. I’d like to see where the story goes.
Good to know that SCC will be back. Let’s hope the season is longer.
I’m so happy that one of the sci fi shows made the cut. It was pretty close though! I’m still bummed Bionic Woman didn’t fare better. Oh well.
