13. Me & Lee? (FOX)- JOEL SALSBERG, D.D.S., is at the end of his rope. Chronic, debilitating back pain has left him jobless and penniless. His parents are tired of lending him money and his girlfriend JESSICA is ready to bail. A despondent Salsberg is given a new lease on life when he meets the one man who has the technology to rebuild him: actor LEE MAJORS (playing himself). Turns out that since “The Six Million Dollar Man” went off the air, Lee has been so obsessed with bionics that he constructed a fully functional, state-of-the-art laboratory in the basement of his Beverly Hills mansion. He hired genius surgeon/scientist/Cordon Bleu chef BLITT to bring his idea to fruition not “bionics,” technically, but Prosthetic Replacement & Integrated Cyberkinetics. Now Lee and Blitt need a human to experiment on, and Salsberg becomes the unwitting guinea pig in their grand scheme. He is tricked into undergoing surgery far more radical than they’ve discussed, and when he awakens from the operation, he is shocked to discover that his inner body has been replaced with state-of-the-art bionics technology. Now Salsberg can bench-press 300 pounds and run 60 miles per hour. Nothing hurts anymore. But his new life of physical enhancement and freedom from pain comes at an unforeseen cost: his privacy. Along with electrically charged prosthetic limbs, Lee also installed eyeball cameras and intercranial speakers so that he sees everything Salsberg sees and can talk to him at will. To Salsberg’s annoyance, this often-inebriated, old and possibly evil 1970s TV icon is now an everpresent voice in his head that won’t seem to shut up about how Salsberg should live his life. From the writers of “Weeds” and directed by Paul Dinello (“Strangers with Candy”), ME & LEE? is a buddy comedy about one man’s relationship with his unlikely creator. It’s an offbeat exploration of the highs and the many drawbacks that come with being half-man, half-machine. Joel’s back pain is gone, but his headaches have just begun.
PRINCIPAL CAST INFORMATION:
· Bill Smitrovich
· Jamie Kennedy as Joel Salsberg
· Jason Antoon as Blitt
· Lee Majors as Lee Majors

  1. Bionic Woman, Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Heroes Origins I’ve heard about. The others sound interesting, but I’m not sure how many of them will take off. Nice to see that the networks are taking a chance on more scifi based shows though.

And of course Paul Reubens is an alien…

  2. OMG the Cavemen. I really hope this show takes off. I love the commercials, my favorite of all time. I also thing New Amsterdam looks pretty good. I didn’t know about a Bionic Woman, that should be interesting.

  3. can’t wait for the heroes origins show! hopefully it’ll keep me sated while i wait for the regular show to return. i’m busting!! not sure about that caveman show though… but the few up top look reallllly good! happy tt!

  4. Some of these sound really good. I wonder which, if any, will end up on AFN, though.

And of course, which ones will turn out to be pretty good, but will be cancelled anyway. *coughFireflycough*

  5. Wow, there’s alot of stuff coming out.

Can’t believe they are doing a caveman series!

I’ve heard good things about Bionic Woman.

  6. LOL, I can’t believe they’re turning Cavemen into a sitcom, well, I can believe it, but it’s too funny. Will have to check it out from pure curiosity to see how it does.

  7. Oh come on! You don’t love Pee Wee? How can you not? He is such a freak of nature! And I love the idea of Lee and Me, how funnie! It would of been funnier to have William Shatner recreate Star Trek…

  8. I love those damn Geico commercials!!! 🙂 I don’t know about how the show will be… don’t know if I’d watch something like that, but the rest look awesome!

  9. Ooooooh WONDERFUL POST!!!!!!

I love sci-fi and hadn’t heard about a lot of those. Sci-fi is getting really popular again with the success of Lost and Heroes, so I’m really excited. 🙂

  10. Thanks for that list. I’m looking forward to Sarah Conners, the Bionic Woman and Heroes: Orgins. I’ll leave my reservations open for the rest. It least they’re trying to be orginal.

  11. Most of those look really interesting. I love Johnny Lee Miller, so gotta try the Eli Stone one. LOVED Heroes. Others, I’m not so sure about. The Bionic Woman?? Hmmmmm…

  12. Excellent. I haven’t heard of any of these. Some look like they’re right down my alley.

Thanks for all the great info!

  13. How come vampires are always detectives? If I were a vampire I would totally not be a detective! I’d have some other interesting job. I might own a night club…but I suppose that is a bit cliche too. 😀 I didn’t know there were so many great paranormal/sci-fi shows coming out this fall!

  14. Chuck sounded boring but then – – Adam Baldwin? I am so there! In fact, I kept reading the rest of the list thinking ‘interesting show, interesting show – Adam Baldwin!l There are a lot of talent in the new shows.

It looks like Starbuck really is dead.

  15. I heard about the Cavemen show, but I hadn’t heard about any of the rest of those. With the exception of the Heroes one, none of the rest sound all that appealing. I usually give all the new shows at least one chance, so I guess we’ll see.

  16. I refuse to watch shows anymore until they’ve run for at least two seasons. Yes, I might not share all the water cooler talk about the latest episode, but at least I won’t be disappointed by any more FireFly like experiences. Plus this way I just get the show on DVD or iTunes and watch on my own time without the bother of commercials.

I mean come on, take a look at these shows you listed. Most of them look interesting enough to watch. At least half look like they’ll draw me in real quick. I’ll fall in love with the characters, I’ll be drawn into the plot and then? Poof! Gone with the wave of a network exec’s evil wizard like wand.

Sorry, no more of that for me!

    Gal

  17. I think the one I’m looking forward to most is Pushing Daisies. I thought I had read somewhere that one of the people behind Wonderfalls had something to do with this show. Wonderfalls was a great show.

I also agree with you about Pee Wee, I never cared for him.

  18. “Me & Lee” is easily the most disturbing of the pack, but if it finds the right nostalgic, ironic vibe… it could rock!

  19. Wow, it looks like you guys have a lot to look forward to this fall. I hadn’t heard about most of these.
Looking forward only to Chuck and The Sarah Connor Chronicles so far – and that only because of Adam and Summer, respectively. :o)
Thanks for the list, gives me something to write about in my blog. ;o)
