Demons Are Forever: Confessions of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom, by Julie Kenner, is the 3rd in the Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom series.
Kate Conner seems like your average, ordinary soccer mom, though she’s not a great cook and only a mediocre housekeeper. Her strengths lie in her parenting skills and slaying demons. When she’s not taking her teenage daughter to cheerleading practice or potting-trainer her toddler, Kate patrols the streets hunting demons.
In this latest installment, Kate’s daughter Allie now knows her secret and insists on being trained to follow in her mother’s footsteps as a demon hunter. And she suspects that the new teacher at Allie school might actually be her supposedly dead husband, Eric. As demons begin attacking Kate and Allie in broad daylight, mother and daughter must uncover Eric’s old secrets and figure out how to stop a slew of demons from releasing an unstoppable high demon. And Kate still tries to keep her moonlighting a secret from her current husband, Stuart. All in a day’s work for this suburban mom.
This is one of those series that I look forward to each year. It’s not supposed to be released until today, but my local Borders had it out on Friday. And I had to pick it up and read it last weekend. Kenner’s books are always a treat. And this is her best series by far. With plenty of action, real-life family drama, mystery, and comedy, Demons Are Forever is just as fun and exciting as the previous two installments. This is the perfect summer read.
I’ve been meaning to order that series but I keep forgetting. I’ve tried the bookstore, but our local Borders doesn’t carry it.
Tempest – It’s should be in the scifi/fantasy section. Did you look there?
I have the first couple of books in this series, but my BROTHER stole them! I was captivated by the titles! I’m a sucker for a catchy title or a catchy cover! Glad to hear they are good!
These look like fun. I am going to get them from interlibrary loan…
I keep meaning to pick up the books in this series and I keep forgetting. Grrrr me.
