Two Trailers (updated)

I saw The Good Shepherd and Night at the Museum this weekend. Both were disappointing and not worth reviewing. At least Night at the Museum was cute and funny, though a little too stupid. The Good Shepherd was way too long and boring. I thought it’d be suspenseful and action-packed. Instead, it was a depressing drama.

And there was no Fantastic Four 2 trailer before Night at the Museum, as was advertised. But it’s online now. It looks very cool, and I now have high hopes for this second installment! I’ll imbed it in this message, so you don’t have to go searching:

The Holiday and Santa Clause 3

I saw two Christmas movies this weekend. And I’ll be giving both reviews today, as I’ll be out tomorrow getting more tests done at the hospital. So here are two out of four of my entries for the 2006 G.I.F.T. Challenge.

The Holiday stars Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet as two women who have made bad choices in men and find themselves single right before Christmas. They decide to switch homes for the holiday (in L.A. and England), just to get away and be alone. Both women realize they don’t necessarily want to be alone, but just want a change. This movie was incredibly heart-warming and funny. The double leading men, Jude Law and Jack Black, were wonderfully sweet in their roles as well. I found myself tearing up quite a few times throughout the movie. Though, that had a lot to do with an old man that Kate Winslet’s character befriends.

This was a perfect, romantic, feel-good movie for the holidays.
