Having last-minute, outpatient surgery tomorrow, so it’s hard to think about anything besides that. Also, may be absent from the web for a few days because of it… I’ll leave you with a pointless meme.
First recording artist you had a crush on.
Davy Jones from The Monkees.. I remember watching reruns of the show as a kid. Davy was just so cute, just wanted to pick him up and hug him!
First band you obsessed over.
I can’t say that I really obsessed over a band, but I did have pictures from Teen Beat and Bop on my walls back in Jr High… mainly of New Kids on the Block. Like every other girl.
First song you wanted to forget.
Waterfalls, by TLC. My roommate in college freshman year played that song on repeat… over and over and over…
Bonus First:
First song that you liked but none of your friends liked.
Probably anything by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. I’ve always been in love with their voices and music. And it wasn’t exactly cool back then.
Teen Beat and Tiger Beat….ah how well I remember those magazines. My brother and I had many a babe on our walls from those magazines. Valeri Bertinelli was a particular favorite at the time.
Hope its no big deal with your surgery. I have said a prayer and will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a safe, successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
It\’s just exploratory, but I\’m nervous just the same! I appreciate the prayers!
Angela,
I saw your site through Jaena\\\’s blog. HOpe the surgery goes well. Hope all is well with you.
Angela, I love your new blog. The other site made my simple minded head swim! Must be the ADD.
I was totally into Davy Jones, too. My friend Elizabeth and I had their cassettes and we would cruise around town singing Monkees songs! The TV show was a summer highlight!
I went to a New Kids on the Block concert!!! That was a fun night with all my girlfriends!
I really enjoy Sinatra, too. I bet tomorrow will be a Sinatra day, now! When we were going through infertility crap my doctor would play Sinatra for us. Speaking of, sorry about the procedure. YUCK!
I’ll say a prayer for you.
Geesh, I mean speaking of doctors, not infertility. You know what I mean. Sorry about that. I hope your surgery goes well.
Hey Kim! Thanks.. I’m going right over to check your blog out..
hehe.. Thanks Julie, I appreciate it!
It’s at 2pm today.
On a side note, going without food or water till then is really going to be torture.
I am thinking of you, that all goes smoothly and you are not in a great deal of discomfort. Can you send you a BIG bag of fun size bars? Consider them delivered electronically, from my heart.
Obviously, I meant , “Can I send you a big bag…” sorry for the typo. 🙁
lol, Thanks Bellezza.. and yes, I could eat the whole bag in one sitting.
Hope the surgery went well. Ah, Davy Jones. Who didn’t want to give that guy a squeeze? Will be thinking about you and praying for a quick recovery.
