Once Upon a Time

Carl has released his new challenge: Once Upon a Time. This challenge is on reading from the fantasy genre. He gives four optional quests, all pertaining to reading of these categories: Mythology, Folklore, Fairytale, and Fantasy. Some books, of course, could fall into more than one of those categories.

Carl has given reason for his classifications here.

I encourage you to check it out, if you haven’t already. Challenges are great ways to help get through those TBR piles or if you need the push to just read anything.

My first choices will be from books I just started:

Blood Price, by Tanya Huff, and
Vamps and the City, by Kerrelyn Sparks

  1. So glad you’re participating. I look forward to seeing what you read as part of the challenge. You’ll no doubt whip through a TON of qualifying books during this 3 month time period.

  2. Is everyone doing this challenge?

    I liked the Blood Books.

I will have to check out Vamps and the City.

I am so excited that the second zodiac book came out yesterday. I thought I would have to wait until April. Now to get to the bookstore. But, must finish Exile first.

  3. Oh that Blood Price book sounds good! That’ll be another vampire book I add to my TBR list 🙂 Can’t wait to hear what other books are going on your list.

  4. Nice idea – however, looking at my bookpile, I don’t have any that fit in the Mythology, Folklore or Fairytale categories.

Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer’s Night Dream” – wow, I remember toiling over that when I was at school! Not sure if I could put myself through all that again! 🙂

  5. Nancy – I believe Carl’s keeping a list of those participating on his site… And the 2nd Zodiac book is out already? I’m going to have to hit the bookstore tomorrow..

Iliana – A majority of them will probably be vampire books. LOL.. As I have a LOT of them in my TBR pile, and an author just contacted me the other day and is sending me his whole vamp series to read and review soon.. Can’t wait!

    Katie – Will do 😉

Weenie – Hah. Well, I liked the MOVIE a Midsummer Night’s Dream.. with the all-star cast. Very funny.
