What a gloomy day. It was pitch black and raining a torrential downpour when I pulled in to work. And as soon as I juggled my things, opened the door with my umbrella ready, and grabbed my coffee… the coffee splashed up onto my leg and leather car seat. I didn’t want to stand there in the rain to wipe my car seat off, so I just left it there in a puddle. At least my leg has mostly dried by now, but what a way to start the day. Thank goodness it’s Friday.ÂÂ
The only good things about having this weather all weekend is that I don’t have to mow my lawn and it’s perfect for reading. My current all-consuming book is Everybody Comes to the Nightside, by Simon R. Green. This compelation includes the first three novels in the Nightside series: Something from the Nightside, Agents of Light and Darkness, and Nightingale’s Lament. I’m halfway through Something from the Nightside and am completely enthralled. I read through lunch yesterday, and completely lost track of time. Oops.
