For Thursday 13, I’m listing 13 books being released in ’07 that I’m excited about:
(Again, in no particular order. And just hover your mouse over the title of the book to get an Amazon pop-up preview.)
1. Rogue Angel: Forbidden City, by “Alex Archer” along with every other Rogue Angel book releasing this coming year, about every other month.
2. The Rest Falls Away: The Gardella Vampire Chronicles, by Colleen Gleason
3. Night Life, by Elizabeth Guest
4. My Favorite Earthling, by Susan Grant – sequel to Your Planet or Mine?
5. Diagnosis Murder #8: The Last Word, by Lee Goldberg – the last in the series.
6. Undead and Uneasy, by MJ Davidson – sixth book in the series.
7. Demons Are Forever: Confessions of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom, by Julie Kenner – third in the series.
8. Atlantis Rising: The Warriors of Poseidon, by Alyssa Day
9. The Prada Paradox, by Julie Kenner – third in the series.
10. The Good Ghouls’ Guide to Getting Even, by Julie Kenner – young adult book.
11. The Nymph King, by Gena Showalter
12. Star Trek: Vulcan’s Soul Trilogy, Book Three – Epiphany, Josepha Sherman and Susan Schwartz
13. X-Men: The Return, by Chris Roberson
And, of course, many more…
hope you get to read all of them..happy 2007
Sounds like some good reading, darn you, adding more to my TBR list!!!
LOL.. at least the release dates are spread throughout the year..
I want to read the Demon hunting soccer mom series…I haven’t started them yet. I wanted to put the books on my Xmas list, but wasn’t sure how my family would react to my request, given that they aren’t geeks like I am. 😉
My 13 are up. I moved my blog so this is my first 13 in my new digs!
Gosh! I feel so ignorant *blush* I’m completely not familiar with these titles …
Happy tt 🙂 (he typed shyly and ran away)
Chickadee – The Demon-hunting Soccer Mom series is great! Funny, action-packed, with a great plot… I’ve gotten quite a few friends hooked on them too.
Milan – Since they’re not released yet, you’re not the only one who hasn’t heard of these I’m sure.
Okay the Nymph King *drool* sounds awesome. I’m also looking forward to And the Rest Falls Away. I’ll have to order it early to make sure it arrives on time. 🙂
Yeah, I have some weird fascination with stories about Atlantis…
Great list. 🙂 A bunch of those look like they’ll be good. I’m looking forward to #12 myself. Have fun reading! 🙂
Hi, Angela! I was going to use the same idea for my Thursday 13 today, with a lot of the same books on the list! All I need to do is post it, which I probably won’t get to until a bit later in the day.
Anyway, great list!
Cool.. I\’ll have to go stop by again later today!
I’m also very excited about picking up Colleen’s book! I know it’s going to be awesome!
Happy TT!
Good for you! You’ve committed to at least 13. I’m hoping for 2! Read on.
Well, Angela, you are certainly introducing me to new books! And, how to use auto-links! Thanks so much for your help and exposing me to new ideas. I’ll have to try something from this list.
I may have to stop coming over here. My “resolution” is to finish books this year and every time I come, I see more books I want to order and start, but I have tons at home I need to finish…Temptress!
BTW, I already have #2 on my wishlist. *sigh*
Glad you got auto-links working, Bellezza!
N. Mallory – Don’t stop visiting! LOL
At least these releases are spread throughout the year. It’s not like you can go out and grab them right now, anyway. Though, when these do come out, they’ll be what I set aside other books to read.
i’m an avid reader too – but i’m not familiar with any of these (except Colleen Gleason’s from her)blog. i guess i spend more time in other genres. i did note from your sidebar that you’re reading Eldest; my daughters have convinced me to read Eragon, so i guess i’ll get to Eldest at some point.
Eragon was (is) an excellent read. My eight year old son read it to me. We also saw the movie.
I am looking forward to number 2, also!!
Thanks for stopping by my TT. 🙂
Oh, thanks for the heads up on the new Kenner book. I didn’t like Carpe Demon but I loved California Demon. Can’t wait for this next one.
I like MJD…but not at the prices they sell her books at. I wait until they come out in mass market.
You might want to try Kim Harrison and Charlaine Harris. Also, Patricia Briggs has a great paranormal series out.
Rene – I get MJD’s books when I have gift certificates for Borders to use. I get them every month, since I have a Borders Visa card.
I do read Kim Harrison and Charlaine Harris.. in fact, just about an hour ago I realized I should have had Harris’ Sookie book listed too. Oh well, can’t include them all!
I haven’t tried Patricia Briggs’ books yet though. I’ll have to check those out.
That is a great TT idea! I am hoping to get to the first Rogue Angel book soon after the first of the year so I can see what excites you about them so much.
Two I’m looking forward to in 2007 are All Together Dead by Charlaine Harris and of course, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!
Forgot to list those, Janet!
Too bad it’s not Thursday 30. LOL
Carl – Hope you like them! My father’s crazy about them too.
Ooh, there’s a few on there I’m involved in, series-wise.
Hopefully next year, our lists will be full of other TTers — including me!
Happy TT!
Great tips! I love this genre very much. My TBR-list gets longer and longer… 😉
Thanks for visiting my TT! All the best for the New Year!
Wow! That’s quite a list. I really have no interest in sci-fi books but The Prada Paradox sounds like something I could get into!
Ack, more books to add to my wish list! Happy TT and Happy New Year!
I want to read all of those!!!!
Oh what a great list, many of them I surely want to read and will have to add to my half.com list for sure.
ooh, SciFiChick! I can’t believe I made your list (and JK Rowling didnt! LOL.)
Thanks so much. I didn’t do a TT today (first time since I started), but I am giving away a copy of an author friend’s book that just came out on Tuesday.
Some interesting selections. I will have to check out the X-men book (naturally) and when I get the chance, start reading the Star Trek: Exiles series.
I finally posted my TT 2007 Book List, too. There’s so many interesting titles coming out next year!
Susan – I hope so! I’d be looking forward to those for sure!
Colleen – It helps that there hasn’t been a release date on the new Harry Potter book yet. LOL.. nah, yours would still be on the list too.
Looks like you’ll be busy reading 🙂
My TT13 is up 🙂
I just love books! 🙂
I posted a review on Greywalker and I think you’d really like the book, if you haven’t already read it (the review is underneath the book round up post I put up earlier today)
Really? *she says hopefully*
I’m looking forward to Colleen’s book as well, but then again, I am just a tad biased since I love reading her blog so much!
X-men looks awesome as always. If you haven’t played Marvel Ultimate Alliance, I highly recommend you get on that as Wolverine is pretty awesome in that game.
The demon hunting soccer mom book also sounds like a classic in the making. I think I’ll read that just to see what she has to say. I wonder if she hunts them down in a minivan while running errands to the bank, the dry cleaners, and the post office. Hmm…
SciFiChick, consider yourself added to my links. You’re too cool for a once a week visit in my book.
I love to read. Hope you get to read them all!
Happy TT
I’m impressed you’ll have time to read so many. I should read more, I haven’t sat down with a book in two months. Maybe after the 1st of the year when things settle down.
Thanks for coming by my TT!
And thanks for telling me about Elizabeth Guest!
Colleen – Of course! Btw, did you get my email last week?
Zeus – I haven’t played that Marvel game, though it does look really good. And I do think you’d get a kick out of the Demon Hunting Soccer Mom books… it’s pretty much how you described it!
And thanks, I’ll add your link too.
Michelle – I just read every spare moment I have.. Even carry a book in my purse.
May – That one looks great, doesn’t it?
They all look like great books. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite. I do custom 12″ sci-fi action figures. I’ll have to send you a few pics.
Thanks for the Read
Mitch
Cool, I’d like to see them.
Really great list! I’m soooo far behind! I haven’t even read book 2 in either of Julie Kenner’s series. And I LOVED both firsts! I’m also looking forward to The Rest Falls Away.
I’m dying to read the Susan Grant book, since I enjoyed the first one so much – thanks, again, for leading me to Your Planet or Mine?
I keep forgetting to add Colleen’s book to my wish list – need to do that and move her up to my book blogger list because I forget to go to the non-book blogs when I have time. And, she does write about books enough to go on that list. I’m so behind.
I’ll look forward to all the reviews for these!
Loving the list. In case it isn’t on there, make sure to add “Succubus Blues” by Richelle Mead. Awesome book. I really think you’ll love it! I won’t post a review on it until the end of Feb, but you can check out her blog and site and get a feel for it. Wonderful.
